Pre arrival means nothing. I got mine last August and I am still waiting for PPR... 2018 Jan still waiting.

Some got PPR two weeks ago with similar timeline.

My medical was done in June 2018, so it will "expire" in 2 weeks. I hope I hear some good news by then.

Ideally the job you switched to should be the similar job code you applied for your PNP, but a lot of ppl are switching to other industries and didn't bother notifying cic. If an immigration officer is investigating your case, as long as you are employed full time, you are good.
