    Sharing my timeline for Citizenship 2017

    That's true; there's only one other case on this frum who applied in 2015 with a job offer from Dubai, seeking for urgent processing. But with only one big difference: his case took unusually long, about two years, due to intend-to-reside clause.

    June 2017 Citizenship Applicants - (pre C6 rule)

    The other thing I noticed is that CIC has changed its note on urgent processing according to C-6. A grant applicant has been in Canada for 1,095 days or more and faces loss of employment or employment opportunity because they are not Canadian citizens;

    June 2017 Citizenship Applicants - (pre C6 rule)

    @kbanatwala @MAGGYZHANG Do you think this applies to someone who has a job offer from US and must require Canadian citizenship to be eligible to work there under TN visa? Assume that the employer is a well-known company and can provide supporting letters, which justifies the urgent processing...

    Bill C-6: Senate stage

    The amendment that Sen. Frum is proposing might be only an intent-to-reside amendments. This is just a guess as she was insisting on this in the committee meeting: "Senator Frum: Ms. Taub, as you know, one of the provisions in Bill C-6 is to remove the intent-to-reside provision that the prior...
