you should call CIC and ask about this then. I am sure its not a PPR as they dont put that status line on PPR confirmation. Its looks like they need more updated information from you to process your file.

Are you sure its Sept 2016 they asked for additional information? did you check your SPAM or JUNK email ?

I cannot say it helped me, but my first call to CIC was at on 28th September, 1 day before completing 15 months. I am not sure if my application was already in the Approved batch.

No, Work Permit is not required to send. You only need to send your passport, 2 pictures and the letter of instructions you received. You may also add a hand drafted letter to thank or inform CIC if your dependent is going to be submitting information in home country.

Thanks Nayeem, have you/your spouse submitted passport in VFS? if yes how log till you get it back after whole process.

Thanks for the reply yogikaka, i was just curious as you know that VFS collects passport in India on behalf of Canadian embassy, and if they don't see the name of the Passport submitter in the PPR email, they might create issues.

So I got separate email instructions for my dependent, but still in the email it just mentions my UCI and Application number. It does not mentions my spouse name anywhere. Would this be a problem when she submits her Passport in India? Anyone has information regarding this?

My wife is not in Canada, neither did i receive a separate email. As indicated in the PPR email, i sent them an email asking to send me instructions for my wife.

Yes, they will ask you the reason for your call. Just be polite and say that your calling to know the status of your application as it has been 15 months.

June 29th Applicant got PPR email early morning. Question: I did not receive a separate email for my wife. Do I send an email about this to CIC, if someone has done that please confirm ?

Yup hopefully that early is tomorrow, as some June 26th and one June 29th applicant got PPR today. If she says its approved, it should be tomorrow or day after. I encourage you to call right now and ask about your Application Status directly.

just got off phone with CIC, nice lady - she said "Your application has been approved, please expect the passport request and next step information email shortly".

what number and how do you reach an agent ? I tried calling cic's number and it just says - we are unable to transfer you to agent
