    That's right. Xpresspost has to be sent on regular address and courier is for Ups, Purolator etc. I sent them additional document(explanation that I can't provide them with PCC they requested for) by Xpresspost on regular mail. It was delivered month and half ago, still no IP.

    You're welcome. I asked the same thing from my embassy...to write a letter explaining that X is not another country, but a village in my home country. They refused. So I wrote explanation letter to CIC where I stated that they can check information with my embassy and included embassy's contact...

    We have exactly the same timeline. On Aug 8 I sent them an email asking about my status. On Aug 14 they asked for police certificate from the village where my husband used to live. I contacted my embassy and they advised me to send them an explanation that country they asked PC from is actually...

    I can only say there's something weird going on in Sydney. Apparently they sent whole bunch of ridiculous police certificate requests in last few days.

    Thanks. I don’t quite understand that either. I mailed them a letter today. I'll follow up with email next week. Hopefully they'll realize that they made a mistake.

    Today. It seems weird that they think that village is a country/state. Even if I wanted to get clearance certificate from that village, they don't have a police station, court or anything like that.

    I am Feb 7 inland applicant and still not in process. I wrote email to Sydney and Ottawa. Ottawa replied they haven't received my application. Still no reply from Sydney. :-[
