I meant, It happened to my dad 5 years ago, wherein his application took more than the normal processing time.

My mom's application is going on 1 year in Nov, and haven't heard from the IRCC yet since Feb 14 when they began processing it, the office in charge of her app is Surrey. Hope she becomes Canadian soon and doesn't experience like what my dad did where his app gone past the standard processing...

I know, but as compared with others whose apps were submitted and received behind my mom's app date of receipt have already taken their oath.

My mom did not travel to anywhere outside Canada, but still haven't heard anything from the citizenship office since Feb 14.

My mom's in similar situation, her app has been in process since Feb 14. She's from Surrey.

I got the same experience. It was just disappointing to know that my mom's application was gonna be processed longer than what was expected. It has been almost 3 mos since the date they began processing it.

My mom's citizenship office is slower. Haven't heard anything from them since Feb.:D

My mom's application has been in process since February 14 and no interview invite received yet. They're relocating to Vancouver from Surrey in June. Would my mom's file be transferred to the Vancouver office? Thanks!

I've noticed that some applications were updated on the weekends. Does this mean IRCC officers work 7 days a week?

Yup, I think it's valid. Just make sure you provide some sort of documents for you to satisfy the citizenship office responsible for your application.
