The last year it took 2 months exactly, but I think this year they were shut down for awhile even though they said not. I sent ours on May 4 2020. No reply yet and its been over 10 weeks

My reasoning is there will be fewer apps. because of the travel restrictions. Also it may be difficult for people to get the required documentation as most government offices are closed. We were unable to find someone to do the passport type photos but explained this as due to the covid situation.

We mailed my wife's app. on May 4th 2020. I understand it takes about 2 months before they acknowledge having received the package. Anyone out there with similar mailing time?
