Got PPR for Spouse TRV (online) - Islamabad

mdanish11, I'm afraid no one can help you in this regard - waiting is the name of the game. Unfortunately, the processing time in Islamabad CHC is extraordinarily long and visa applicants are advised to apply well in advance of their planned trip. All the best - hopefully you'll get it by Friday.

    TRV Applied & Chances ?

Well it doesn't actually mean that. But I think it's a safe assumption that things are moving in the right direction. Good luck bud. They'll ask for your passport soon hopefully.

CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Completely agreed with you on the whole thing but not with the part that Pakistan has the largest amount of fraudulent and rejected cases. Let's not malign our own selves unless you have some data to back it up with. Our wait time is huge because of many factors and yes fraudulent cases might be...

TRV online application payment - can i use my wife's debit card for payment?

You can use your friend's credit card - you should be able to use your wife's prepaid credit card as well. Both are okay. If you are inside Canada, you can order form IMM 5401 (it takes about a week to come thru mail from CIC) and you can take that to the bank and make the payment and attach a...

Online Application submitted - what happens next?

usually a medical is not required for TRV - but if they need it, you'll get an email and message on myCIC to get a medical done. Once the visa is approved, you'll get an email and message on your myCIC account asking you to mail in your passport. And that's it. You mail in your passport and...

    Is Return Ticket Mandatory???

Return ticket is always a good idea if you are coming on a TRV. Having said that, though, my wife came on a trv without a return ticket and she wasn't asked by the border officer about it. I was really nervous about it but nothing happened. So - return ticket is the safe side but I am an example...

    Visitor's visa questions

Just think twice before you go berating others' nationalities. It doesn't make you look smarter. Or better than the rest of them

    Visitor's visa questions

I understood what you were saying before you started being patronizing and offensive and I still understand what you are saying. I simply don't agree with it is all. The husband should rather leave the UCI field blank than putting in his wife's UCI. That's what I did and that's what I was told...

    Visitor's visa questions

Yes - I completely understand the issue since I've gone thru both PR and TRV applications. If you are mentioning the UCI in an letter to CIC (like invitation or letter of support), it might be okay since the VO will figure out one way or the other what she's talking about. However, in the TRV...

    Visitor's visa questions

    Visitor's visa questions

Notarization is not a requirement but I got it done. It just gives a tone of seriousness to your letter. I got my invitation letter and an affidavit stating that my wife return upon expiry of allowed stay notarize. She got her TRV. So I'm assuming notarization helped. However, it's not a...

Setting up for success with TRV - Questions by me, please answer :D

First, let's not malign a whole country based on a person's opinion. The theory behind TRV is simple, tell the visa officer your reason to visit and convince them that you'll return to the home country by showing them ties to home. This usually includes property in your name, a sustainable job...
