Hi yeah, it started back in July and then an "updated date" back in August, so it might just have been collecting dust in CBSA..

Another thing is at the end of the sub acitivity there has: instructions to partner: 0 / instructions from partner: 0. So they literally just keeping it to them it seems (Not referred from CSIS nor they deem the need to send it to them)

Security is "in progress" with status updated date back in July, then in sub activity security is "in progress by CBSA" with status updated date back in August. So I think the file has been sitting in CBSA since August.. Ah well, if I don't hear anything before February gonna book my 2-weeks...

Yeah but then again I don't have the 1-5 security activities that everyone, at least those in SS, seem to have.. not in the IRCC notes nor in the CBSA notes. Still confused about this, maybe whatever red flag they (for god know what reason) raised only require CBSA to check..?

The key takeaway for me from this is that sooner or later they would put an independent/civilian oversight over CBSA, similar to how CSIS was born out of RCMP. And yes maybe that prompted longer time in general for security checks starting mid-year 2018, both to start and to finish, as the notes...

Bridging open work permit correct? Yours is expiring in August? Then I think you can't apply until April anyway, the requirement is your permit has to be expiring in less than 4 months I think. If I don't get PR this month, gonna need to apply for that on February. o_o
