Wrong!!!!take a look at their holidays list they don't take off for Indian holidays. They only have Canadian holiday's even in Indian it's not a holiday on all states for rakshabandan

My friend applied 4 days before me at bangalore vfs and got her visa on 3aug

Regarding what....the immigration only contact you via mail if they need any documents in rare cases they will contact you through phone for the same reason

There is no interview of any sort to obtain a study permit for Canada..

hey i am also at the same stage and the "review of eligibility" remain the same for more then two weeks who said that it will be accepted in 3 days??

Hi my status changed a couple of weeks ago and still remains the same so there is no exact timeframe for that some get it in 2 days and guys like me are waiting for some magic to happen.....

Pls don't get me wrong really is that the reason you are going to Canada there are a lot of institutions in India who teaches the same thing so you have to convince your visa officer with your sop and cover letter that going Canada is your only option

If something goes wrong god forbid I think you have to take the test and apply it for the next term all over again I'm sorry if that happens I know how much it means because I didn't get admission in uoa. Best of luck....

See if you could defer the admission for next term without reapplying
