I think that might happen, but the reason why they are delaying to award bonus points is that may be they are changing the whole system. If it was bonus points only, it would have been simple at any time through ministerial instructions, as lawyers pointed out.

Not really, duration is separate as to what you get; points under duration (only at least 2 years under Adaptability) is awarded separately as compared to what you get, say master or professional degree (no matter the duration you have to spend to get them, you will get points) where points will...

I think duration will not be considered because points are already awarded under Adaptability for at least 2 years of study; I believe points will vary depending on the level of study.

Anyway, 50 points seem to be very little; also it did not consider recent draw but seems to be based on last year's lowest score

Don't think so; CIC spokeman said (in a video that someone posted month ago) that they are not yet done with the pre-2014 backlog and once done score will go down and invitations will increase as from September this year; Please note it is only prediction on CIC's part.
