Congratulations to everyone who got their visas
Still...I am very shocked at NDVO's lack of professionalism. they keep people in the dark throughout the process and work in very mysterious ways. THey should be more transparent and stop playing with lives of law abiding citizens.
Sadly, what you said is true but your analogy is incorrect. It is like a fruit in my opinion. They first wait for the seed and ask us to provide more than enough water and sunlight so that it can grow into a tree. When they see a little kaccha fruit hanging, they call it "in process". They then...
I think it is appropriate to wish everyone here HAPPY CANADA DAY!!! I hope everyone enjoyed the fireworks...if you're not here yet, here's a picture so that you know what to expect next year.

Dunno why someone else in this forum got DM while mine is still showing IP when they are the same IP date as me. The only explanation I can see is that his file transfer date is 6 days before me. Or it could be depending on the case itself.
Thanks for the information. I was concerned about interview and how long would the period between IP and DM be. My wife got IP this Monday and her case is pretty straight forward. Her medical was done in September and the results were fine so I hope the visa comes quickly (within a week). Really...
A lot of people have taken only one week, for some even shorter, to go from in process status to DM. I'm not sure why some take longer but it may be depending on the case or competence of the visa officer.
This is my timeline:
Medicals Done: Mid September, 2013
Application received: September 30, 2013
File transferred: Oct 17, 2013
PP request: November 8, 2013
In process: June 19, 2014
The status changed maybe sometime on Monday IST.
Hi,
My wife is a September 30 applicant. Just got "IN PROCESS" status. It says that they started working on my application on June 19, 2014. I am happy to see some movement but also keeping myself grounded and praying that the visa comes ASAP.
This wait is so painful :(
Why is the visa office doing this? I have a friend who sponsored his wife in 2008 and she got the visa in 3-4 months. Are they so concerned about holding their jobs that they've selfishly decided to delay all visas now?
I have a very similar timeline. There has been one September applicant (out of 5 or 6 in this forum) who got an "in process" status on 21st April. Overall, they only have 120 applicants to process for September so I'm hoping I'll see some good news soon. Keep your stick on the ice :)
I'm very encouraged to see that they've started processing your application. Me and my wife's file was forwarded to the delhi office on October 17th, so it might be very soon for me as well!!
