Reopening doesn't mean that they will also open the border, what doug ford means is that the economy will start reopening, regardless of the lockdown. They won't take risk opening the border before the emergency ends. But, we still do not have a clear idea why is the first place FSW was stopped.

Because, the US-Canada border is set to open on June 21st. It is all speculation until IRCC confirms anything, and we all know, they are not going to do that.

Nobody knows, why the FSW draws were stopped. Maybe because of the health system being too fragile ? or maybe because of the increasing unemployment rate ? But looks like with Ontario under lock down July will be the best bet according to me.

Yeah true, the over night update was done to reflect new fees for the permanent application fee. The email is a glitch.

I am a CEC applicant and got the email as well, I do not have an ITA yet. Seems like it was a glitch on their side and it triggered a false email to everyone.

Emergency until June 30th

Looks like Ontario is planning to extend the emergency until June, so the best bet would be FSW will resume in July. Also, other countries are also starting to open up, so july fits in the timeline. But nobody knows for sure, it is just my opinion. Cheers !

I think end of June will be a good time to start the FSW, since Ielts is still closed until second week of June anyways.
