It's the very same situation for me; are you a doctoral candidate? I'm really annoyed at the lack of professionalism on their part. I have to resign from my job here etc etc.

As long as they inform about the outcome at least a week before classes start, it'll still be okay. But I'm getting a bit worried as I need to make arrangements.
