FSW 2014 Applicants Timeline- Lets Network Here.

Oh now I see why you've been posting it. I just read that one post and it seemed like it had a different purpose. Thanks. Also, I have a question, I sent my bank account assessment as a proof of funds. The account is joint in my husband's and my name. However, only my name is shown on the...

Hi, I understand that you intended to help with the information in the email posted, but the amounts required as proof of funds have gone up. It's better to refer to the current publications on CIC website.

except Halloween. It's not considered a statutory or provincial holiday. So no day off for anyone.

CIC employees work for the federal government, therefore they will have a day off on all of the statutory holidays including Rememberance day. There are some provincial holidays that don't effect federal government workers, but those mentioned above are definitely holidays for CIO.

    please help me-MOST URGENT

You are right, there are other reasons, like if a woman got pregnant after being raped, etc. I shouldn't have written "only for that reason". But I doubt that aborting the pregnancy for the purpose of immigration is a common reason for abortion anywhere in the world. Thanks for correcting me though.

    please help me-MOST URGENT

There is no problem if you go to Canada while being pregnant. If you have your baby outside Canada and try to land with the newborn baby without having informed CIC, then you may be denied entry, however, in your case, you just got pregnant, so no need to inform CIC. Your pregnancy is not...

Get pregnant after got immigration visa but before landing, should I report VO

Yes, you can absolutely sponsor your baby but I don't know how long it will take. My friend was sponsored through her spouse and she still hasn't received her PR after almost 3 years. In her situation, she is allowed to stay and work in Canada while waiting for her PR, so it's not that bad. I...

Get pregnant after got immigration visa but before landing, should I report VO

You don't have to let them know about the pregnancy. However, if you stay outside Canada while giving birth, your baby will not get an automatic PR. If your baby is born in Canada she/he will be a born Canadian citizen. Plus, all the costs for the labor would be covered by the provincial...

Actually, I was thinking of additional filters or tabs, but I understand the limitations of the spreadsheet. So any improvement to the sorting order would be good, thank you.

I agree that the current sorting by NOC is not helpful when trying to see how many applications are ahead of yours that still need to be processed. Having a filter option by received date, CC charged, and PER issued dates would make it much clearer to see your standing in the table.

it is absolutely a problem if an applicant chose two primary nocs in one application. CIO cannot make a decision for you as to under which noc to process the application. The decision on the NOC must be made by the applicant, not CIO. One NOC has to be chosen as a primary NOC only.

Did you send two applications for two different NOCs or did you indicate two NOCs as your primary occupation in one application? I am asking because if it's the latter, it could be an issue. I read the reasons for rejection last year in the spreadsheet and somebody was rejected because they...

    Algonquin College intake sept2013

You are welcome. As for the post graduate work permit, you can apply for it only once. If you decide to continue your studies at a Bachelor's level, you should not apply for PGWP after your diploma program, wait till you graduate from university and then apply. Also it's hard to find a...

Re: Orange-girl Two-year Business accounting program is optimal if your goal is to get a three-year work permit. This is what I've recently got. No, it's not renewable after three years, if you don't find a skilled job and do it for one year within those three years, you won't qualify for...

    POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT

you are welcome. I went for a two-year program because I knew I could get a 3-year work permit. There was an intensive professional accounting program that was compressed in 45 weeks, it had more CGA transferable courses than my program, but my priority was a longer validity of the work permit...

    POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT

It was a two-year program, 4 semesters: fall 2012, winter 2013, summer break then fall 2013 and winter 2014. My graduation letter didn't say when my program started or ended, it only said that I met all the requirements for the 2-year full-time diploma program. Hope this helps.
