    Police certificates expired

Yeah, that's what i am worried about. I had 2 police certificates from Holland. One from September and one from March. I don't remember which one i used from my PR and which one i used for my Working Visa. The Canadian one was send AFTER the 3 months for sure, but that one is relatively easy to...

    Police certificates expired

Hello all, Another question! I just read on a somewhat hidden section of the CIC website that your police certificate has to be send in no more then 3 months after they were issued. Mine were about 5... Should i request new certificates and send them in along with the file number or wait for...

What exactly does the VO do?

I didn't leave any gaps, but i was working for an employment agency so i got send around jobs every 6 months or so working on projects. At the same time i was in university, so it's multiple things at the same time. We'll see if they need any clarification. 10 years is a long time for someone...

    Spousal Sponsorship Visa

Did you put an e-mail address on your form? If that is the case then they probably e-mailed it to you and you might want to check your spam filter. My application didn't show up until AFTER the sponsor was approved, so you might be in luck. Give them a call, maybe it helps.

What exactly does the VO do?

Ahhh ok. I'm kind of curious why they want to know where i worked 10 years ago though. I just had some part time jobs while studying all over the place, so the details are limited. Hope that won't be a problem.

What exactly does the VO do?

Good morning fellow wannabe-Canadians. I have a question and maybe you can link me somewhere or give me a short description. What is it exactly that the VO do with your application. I was under the impression that Mississauga checks your application to see if everything is filled in and sends...

Can't handle the waiting time anymore. Bye Canada

Because you are voicing yourself on a public forum. Although it will MOST likely not happen to you, can you imagine a CIC officer reading your post and somehow link it to your file? Even if there is a 1% chance that this would happen, is it worth it?

I might not have worded it in the best way, but i think it's in his best interest to delete this post.

Can't handle the waiting time anymore. Bye Canada

Hey man, i love Canada, but i am moving here for my partner, not for the country. If my Immigration papers don't work, i'm not going to leave my wife, we'll find other means to be together. Posting stuff like this is not helping your case to prove you have a legit relationship

Does being in Canada on a Work Visa help?

No i guess the contributing to society won't be a factor (although i have been keeping Canadian workers safe) We've been living together for 3 years, bought a house, shared bank accounts, combined insurances, named each other beneficiaries and got married. It doesn't get more legit as this.

Does being in Canada on a Work Visa help?

Hi guys, Just a random question while waiting out my PR. Do CIC officers look at your history when going over your file? I've been working in Canada for almost 3 years straight now on Work Visas, will that be in my favor at ALL? I like to think it shows i have been contributing to the Canadian...

It seems New Delhi is the most efficient office so far. According to the site their waiting period is also 9 months (Same as Vienna), so i hope Vienna is taking notes!

Applied as "Common Law" and got married after, now what?

Thanks, i'll see what they ask for. I have fulfilled my part by notifying them through the designated e-mail address, if they need MORE proof, i'm sure they'll request it.

Applied as "Common Law" and got married after, now what?

I think the common-law application was strong enough, but i still want to add it. To be honest, i have no idea how the marriage registration works here. (Never gotten married before) The officiant sent everything in and i guess we are going to get something back? I should look into this :D

Separation before PR issued - what are the potential problems?

Also, once your wife finds out she is financially responsible for you for 3 years, she might screw you over and withdraw last minute.

Applied as "Common Law" and got married after, now what?

Good afternoon all, My (now) wife and i applied for a sponsorship in June as Common laws and got married in August. We did mention it in the paperwork that the date was already set for that day, but since we were officially "common law" we checked that box. The CIC officers redirect me to the...
