Hey everyone, I was told my husband (American citizen) can apply for an open work permit. I sponsored him using the outland application and he's here on an extended temporary resident visa. Can he really apply for an open work permit???

Hey everyone! We did the outland application and I currently got a better paying job do I need to notify CIC?! Also my hubby's extended visitor cert expires soon do we need to re-apply again? Everyone's help would be much appreciated :)

Unfortunately, they will not send anything back to you from the application package. A part of the application specified this so that's why they asked for copies of everything.

Our application was sent in May and is currently at CPP-O. My husband is American and I just wanted to know if I should contact CIC to see where we stand or should I just wait until I hear from someone?
