Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

I would say you better hurry cause it takes about 3 month for them to issue a PCC, although you can get it in 5 mins if you are asking it in person while you are in RO :( I got mine 5 days before leaving to Canada... You can ask the consulate to issue a PCC for the time you were in RO even if...

Mine too, but that means nothing... Morning routine: coffee, check ECAS , check myCIC, check the forum, check the spreadsheet... That's how I pour salt in me coffee. I should try doing it in the evenings, with lime and tequila instead of coffee ;D

You can check it after the first AOR; that's when you get you file no./ UCI. You need one of those in order to see your ECAS. Although... It won't show much info , just that the file was received.

It was me saying "EVERY application". To clarify, I thought it's already implied that the app should be straightforward. Also, I think I should rephrase: all of the PCC requests were made to people that applied before June 13th. I am sorry for the confusion, didn't mean to give anyone false...

A PR application in itself does not give you implied status but applying for a work permit before your current visa expires, along with your PR app, gives you implied status.

No, if your visitor visa expires while PR app is in process you will have implied status. I strongly advice you if you apply inland to send your OWP app as well.

My guess is they ask everybody having applications submitted before June 13th (the backlog time frame).

I've seen a lot of people here saying that they had their police records checked around the expiration date. My guess is that if you have a straightforward app with no major issues they will start working on that to avoid any future delays. So I would say it's a great news! I wish you all the...

They do issue them in batches, see the June 10 and June 29 second AORs; but since then no batches, just random... I myself will try not to upset the gods and be thankful that at least I can sleep better at night now that I know they won't return my file.

I've noticed something interesting on the timeline, first 50ish applicants this year have had their AIP in about 180-130 days, while for the next few month cases the period decreased up to 100 days. Not to mention in 2015 the average was about 200 days!!! Also, they reduced the time for the AOR...

Maybe Mississauga send some of the cases to Vegreville in order to work on the backlog reduction or you have applied for OWP or some other type of TRV that is normally processed in Vegreville. It's just a guess...

@polarvolcano, thx for the reassurance ;D was not really my intention to trick anyone, I just had no clue what to say and being so tired after an almost 20 hours flight, it just... slipped. Now i have to roll with it. PS: now I think I am paranoid :-\

Staying at home doing nothing apparently makes my mind develop some of the most weirdest scenarios: I have read on some threads that CIC has all the notes the Border Officer made when you entered Canada and they are cross checking them while evaluating your PR app. When I came here in May I...

I send a cover letter via CSI asking them to process my OWP app after I will have the AIP, as I am currently out of status. Have you heard about any cases when the CSI additional info helped anyone (I'm not talking about requested documents, those would obviously be reviewed)? I'm asking because...

Thanks a lot for the intel. Although I think it's too soon for me to ask for my GCMS notes; my app was sent last month, July 13th. I guess I should wait until September or so and then file a request.
