That is exactly what they had asked me to do. The IO had requested an extension and after one i was adviced to re-do an chest x-ray which i did and i had to send if off to London vo and it took one month and 10 days mfor them to finalize the application after they recieved the x-ray, fingers...

Why dont you contact the VO and inform them that the passport is required by the medical doctor at the appointment.? Send an inquiry on the website of the vo where the application is being processed.
