PNP PR PAPER-BASED - April May June July 2019 Applicant —— Let’s share timeline and contact here!!!

Even if I do EE, I cannot provide biometrics for now. Eventually I’m gonna get PR at the same time. Also I’m not rushing to. My status in Canada is still rather safe.

So security can happen before that? Or in parallel with the paper screening step?

ALL ABOUT GCMS - HOW TO ORDER, READ, & GENERAL QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Normally should “Ready for PS” happen before or after security? My security is not started yet but it’s in “ready for ps” now.

I got PAL in December. Just security not started. GCMS shows “ready for PS”. EE in general is fast. Just now you cannot do biometrics, and our paper based application is biometrics exempt. Also in particular cases EE can take years as well.

Then you are on the same stage as most June/July/aug applicants. Sure EE maybe an option, but then you will have difficulties with biometrics as well. BTW, I was thinking about EE as well, but after talking with multiple immigration lawyers I decided that better off just wait.

Did you get PAL? Did you call them to understand the status of your application?

January 2019 onwards Paper Based PR Applicants waiting for AOR/MR/PPR

I got my gcms notes today (generated on July 29th) One thing to note: Before I did upfront medical, the location of the paper file was CIO-Meds Not Started Office. Now the upfront medical passed, and the location of the paper file is "Ready for PS". I suppose this is a progress, although...

Indeed, I asked multiple immigration lawyers, they told me directly and clearly: "PNP paper based is at the bottom of their priority". (among all economic immigration programs). But it's not unfair, we were told of the 18 months estimated processing time upfront and we voluntarily made this choice.

It's impossible to skip medical. If you have passed eligibility, then check the GCMS notes, I bet the immigration officer has written something there like "Medical is mandatory for everyone".

Your timeline pls? Do you have ADRs and dependents in the application?

January 2019 onwards Paper Based PR Applicants waiting for AOR/MR/PPR

I second this, discouragement is not helping anyone. My application was 100% in Sydney. Upfront medical passed within a week after I uploaded the proof. The doctor at the clinic does not decide whether it passes or not. Eventually it's someone at IRCC deciding whether your medical result meets...

Inland applicants could still apply for EE, get everything under processing and wait for biometrics reopening.

Agreed, I understand everyone is frustrated because of the long waiting time without updates. But I do believe they are working, just making very slow progress with the process that is already very slow. Anyways we haven't reach 18 months deadline, so they have a very good reason not to work on...

Indeed, I am not sure what they are doing, but nothing we can do.

My "due date" for security is also 1 year after the AOR date. But the IRCC agent on my last call clearly told me "it's useless".

I did upfront medical as well, no response. I found it passed only after calling IRCC.
