Well I do agree that if your medicals are about to expire then you do get an added advantage(ie if they've made up their mind to give you the visa) if not then one has to go through the trouble of re-medical....coz they won't allow you to enter canada unless until your medical is clear.... Btw...

Ohk so I think your application file date in ur stats on the left should be 29th March instead of 2nd april.

Exactly !!! It definitely is a waste of time, money and patience to order for GCMS notes now... I am confident coz my file is straightforward...this delay is definitely due to the strike or else I would've heard from them...

Normally it takes about 120 days post PPR for one to receive the passport back with PRV, so according to that you're way under time hence you should not be worried at all. It's people like me who received their PPR in march are the one's who have gone beyond the 120 days time limit and that's...
