    Thank you! When did this happen to you? It shocked me a little and I had to double check MY CIC account to make sure that the requested document was indeed successfully uploaded and submitted. It seems that CIC is forever making experiments... Hope that's a good sign anyway. Gook luck to us all!

    A friend of mine experienced the same thing: BC changed from IP to not needed. And soon he got a message for interview in HK and nailed it! Got his PR visa on the same day of his interview :)

    Not necessarily. My BG check started from day one and has been in progress for over two months. . . no ME pass, no update, nothing. But in most cases, BGIP does mean PPR is around the corner. So, good luck!
