    Birth Certificate Question

What do you mean by half in English? Is the English content a 1:1 translation of the content in regional language? If so, you document is bilingual and since one language is English, no translation is needed. However, if the English part contains only partial birth certificate information, the...

cec and PNP applications at the same time

Thank you Dyesah. I hope your PR is soon finalized. The CEC should be OK but who knows. I already have the trauma of my fsw application cancelled by CIC back in 2007 ( The famous backlog reduction), so I am trying to reduce my risk this time.

    Pay stubs issue

I had the same doubt. I work on salary and not per hour, but I didn't want to take any chances. I sent all 2014 pay stubs and the 2013 NOA with the T4

What the heck is going on with the PNP and PGWP and FSWP? What to do?

There were no significant changes on the provincial programs. Since you have a full time job offer , u can mist likely qualify for BC PNP.

cec and PNP applications at the same time

Thank you for the info. I have greater confidence in the CEC application that I filed. The PNP can theoretically be terminated in case of lay off. Good luck to u as well. It looks like u are very close!

cec and PNP applications at the same time

Hi I sent m CEC application yesterday after gaining the required Canadian experience. I also received my BC PNP nomination 2 weeks ago and I can't decide whether I should apply for PNP as well. Besides the extra 1400$ cost, I don't know whether one application can delay processing for the...

    CEC and LMO cancellation

If you quit or lose your job while on work permit you can stay legally in Canada until the end of your work permit or temporary visa period. BUT it is a risk to leave Canada when you have no job because the immigration officer may refuse your re-entry. There should be no effect on CEC...

    May 2014 CEC-PR Applications

Hi Toby, Thank you for the link and the useful info. I will probably send my application next week. I still haven't made up my mind: CEC or PNP (I was nominated for BC PNP). I am not sure which category will be processed faster. I may apply for both but I have to pay double fees.

One thing I fail to understand

I think you should check the provincial programs if you have relevant job offer and experience.

BC PNP application January or February 2014

I applied for BC PNP skilled worker on feb-20 and received my nomination on apr-17. AOR was received after 3 weeks. My nomination letter has some errors so practically I am still waiting for PNP reply before I can send my federal request to CIC

Canadian Experience Class Announcement for May 01, 2014

I wonder which program will receive the higher priority. My NOC is in the new FSW list and I wonder which one is better to apply for, CEC or FSW

    BC PNP February 2014

I don't thnk BC PNP called my employer but I am not 100% sure. The company I work for has more than 500 employees in Canada. BC PNP could potentially talk to quite a few HR or immigration department staff members and I wouldn't know.

    BC PNP February 2014

I received my nomination by mail today. No email on decision made before that. Processing time was quick but LOA has typing mistakes so I asked BC PNP to send me a fixed version. I hope that will not take too long. I applied from BC (here on wp)

Canadian Experience Class (CEC ) vs. Provincial Nomination ?

With PNP, there is a risk of cancelling your nomination in case of lay off. CEC is probably faster but CIC is strict with evaluating your eligibility. If you can afford it, PNP could be a good backup

    Counting started for 12,000 cap

Approx. 1500 applications are submitted every months. The 12000 capacity is expected to be reached in July. What happens to applications submitted when capacity is reached? Will these be placed on hold until November? CEC eligibility criteria may be changed when the cap is reached.
