    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Another silly question... I know passport is the primary travel document and PR is not a travel document regarding question 14... how about Visa? Are Canadian Visas (student/visitor) travel documents? Thanks!

Does anyone with a failed receipt issue have any updates? I made two tries with two cards and both failed, no email or receipt yet. If they both eventually go through I have to find a way to get one of them back!!

well, not really! You should get lucky I guess. I made a payment a few minutes ago and the same thing happened: bank shows it went through but no receipt/email.

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Previously instruction guide said if you want to send your application as a family, put everything in one envelope and make one payment for the whole family (e.g. one payment of $1260 for a family of two instead of two payments of $630). I cannot find that sentence in the instruction guide...

Cover letter is not required, but it is always good to have one in my opinion. I'm writing it to clarify anything that might not be clear, such as the flag polling, etc.

The thing is they didn't put any stamps on my passport. I have two solutions: listing the date and adding explanation in the cover letter, or not listing the date and adding explanation in the cover letter. Is there any difference?

Thanks razerblade! So I'll list it as a date outside Canada and add an explanation in the cover letter. Worst case scenario, they'll say you haven't technically left Canada :D which is harmless

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Hi everyone, This might be a silly question! I was a student in Canada when I got my PR and so I landed by so called "Flag-Poling", i.e. driving to a US border, getting a rejection letter from US officer, and turning back to Canada to land. When entering dates in the online residency...

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Not about this topic, but I've seen people calling CIC regarding other C-6 topics and getting answer so I assume they are still reachable :D I'll definitely share here if I get any info. My hope is that more senior members of the forum can also advice.

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

This is also my issue since it is not clear whether you should be eligible on the day before based on C6, or you should be eligible on the day before based on whatever rule was in place on the day before (C24 in this case). I don't think such a case (applying on the day after a new rule is...

    Changes on Oct 11, 2017 - Executive summary/FAQ C-6

Hi Spyfy/Everyone and thanks for the useful posts. I have a question: The instruction guide states that: Note: You must be eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship the day before you sign the application form. Does it mean we can't apply on October 11th and actually should apply on the 12th...

    Got my visa Landing question

Hi Guys, If someone already lives in Canada, receives his/her PR visa (FSW) and wants to flag-pole and land through a US border (e.g. exit Canada from Niagara falls and return to Canada again), is it necessary to have the minimum required funds in hand at landing time, while this money is...
