I believe it will be sent. And I agree with not giving out all your details. But change.org is legit. I've signed many other petitions unrelated to immigration. You do not have to write down all your details, this is entirely up to you. I don't think there is any harm on signing such petition...

Thank you for that Salsal31 It is very frustrating. Especially when you're waiting for the OWP. But, as they say, patience is a virtue. And unfortunately it's not in our hands anymore. We will just have to wait. Hope this issue gets solved soon. Many blessings to all!

Hey ArtSnow. I agree with you on the implied status issues. I was told this several times (once by an immigration officer that my partner happened to meet on his job), and I believe there is a section on the CIC website that says so. As soon as they receive your application you are considered...

PS I can't believe they're still working on October 8th applications!!! What's going on!!? Does anybody know? This is ridiculous. >:( :( :'(

Thank you once again ArtSnow! Canusa31, I believe we are good to stay. As I've read many times, an "implied visitor status" is "granted", although not in paper. So yeah, just like yourself, "I ain't goibg anywhere" LOL I think we're good. ;)

Hi there! I believe it's supposed to take around 6 months after they receive your application and start processing it, which is the time for Stage 1 of the application process to be completed. Canusa31 I know!! I can't believe they're stuck on that date. I really hope that they're just not...

Thank you Dawlex and Laura! It is quite a difference. Bebecharmed, when we log in to the CIC website it says "we received your application on Jan. 23, 2013" and "we started processing your application on Feb. 12, 2013". I thought AIP stood for application in process. Maybe I'm wrong? :-[
