If you are on maternity EI (which you can take earlier than due date with doctors note) you can be out of the country and collect it as those are special benefits and not regular EI benefits. Medical Forms

What you were quoted $ was more likely the total. I think our tests in canadian dollar were 250, doctor took only 150, and we paid 50 each in each lab. So total 250.

    Medical Forms

Some doctors are practicing in hospitals so they have labs onsite, but not everywhere. We went to a doctor who has a private practice, so he did a 5 min appointment with my husband, took a picture of my husband, asked my husband if he had any surgeries, asked if my husband wears glasses, had...

I think the OP probably meant the doctor, the blood lab place and x-ray place as sometimes the doctor sends you out to make the blood work and the x-ray outside. It was same for my husband, we got the receipt print out for e-medicals, and receipts from both the blood lab and x-ray lab.

do you pay even if rejected?

I think the initial 1100 which you would pay ($550 x 2 parents) is not refundable as it does not include the Permanent Residence fee. Permanent Residence fee (now $490 each) would be extra once application is approved.

    Please help spouse visa

It means your application is at the Visa Office and will be put in queue for processing. Based on processing times in your VO (currently 80% of applications are processed in 32 months) it will be months before you hear from them. All you can do now is wait.

    Same-Sex Conjugal partner

"thinking about future together" does not fall into the Family Class Sponsorship. To be approved under Family Class Sponsorship, even being married or common-law does not automatically grant you approval, you have to show beyond reasonable doubt that all your affairs are joint, that being...

    Same-Sex Conjugal partner

Based on the above I can tell you to forget about applying as conjugal partners, as: 1. Based on your dates you have not been in a relationship long enough; 2. There is no legal barrier to marry (same sex marriage is legal in both, Canada and Brazil); 3. Other than a short romance you cannot...
