So I finally got my GCMS note back. Actually I had to send a reminder email to them (as the 1month period has already passed for my note), and they sent back the note right away. It is a long document of 100 pages (no kidding! 100 pages exact!) and I'm a bit lost as to which part to report here...

So at the end of the day, what I understood was if you are inside Canada (i.e. FSW Inland), you can go with the free one, otherwise (i.e. Outside Canada) you should pay the $5. I ordered my free one under the AIA exactly a month ago, but I haven't heard back yet.

I don't see any problem with that. You can enter the country with that visa no matter where you went to, as long as it is within the expiry date of the visa of course.

Not yet, I'm waiting for the note to come back in a few days to see what's up. Will keep you updated when I get it.

Same here, we have the same AOR date as well. Maybe even the same group number (my GCMS notes are due any day now)

Just wondering if anyone else heard about the news that they pushed back the 25000 plan. They said they still want to bring in 25000 refugees but not necessarily by the end of the year. I'm specifically referring to the interview Trudeau had with CBC a few days ago, in which he talks about this...

I agree, who knows if it will impact our processing time or not (let's hope for the best!), though I think there are many people among the refugees who need this way more than us. I can personally wait a little longer.

There seems to be some recent movement in inland FSW class. Many June applicants (even as late as June 30th) got their DMs in the last couple of days. Hopefully good news is on the way for July applicants soon!

It's really hard to say what goes on inside CIC walls, and I'm not sure you can deduce much from this mass update (specially because it is Medical and most people got theirs really quick and have been waiting for months after that), BUUUT looking at "Days to ECAS in process" in the spreadsheet...

According to CIC (here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp?s=1 ) they update ECAS every Tuesday!

I also had the same situation and said no, because as you said there is no application number (and no payment). So far everything has been going like everyone else, and I doubt this would cause any problem down the road.
