My husband is from Iran and the VO for Iran is Ankara. Because he is in Iraq for work they sent his application to Amman. They said it's based on residency not citizenship.The processing time for Iran is 10 months.

It must have been a mistake. They send applications to offices based on the address of your current residence. It's on the cic website. My husband is from Iran but because he lives in Iraq now they sent his application to Amman. I'm sure about this rule.

Yes. I had never heard about an additional fee for passport!!!

Based on this, we had a lot of red flags, and our application has been sitting in Bucharest since February 2016. We applied in August 2015 and our application was transferred to Romania. Still waiting:(

So your processing time says 14 months, right? Did they send your application to Amman? Why?

That's a good thing they are doing but it shouldn't have anything to do with slowing down the process of our applications. They have to have a plan and they have to share the workload. Why aren't the processing times for most countries this long. This is not called sharing. This is injustice

Why not? Everyone has the right to defend their rights if they've been discriminated against. I thought we have freedom of speech in Canada I just hope we get the email soon, just wanna forget about all this and start a happy life We deserve it.Good luck to everyone
