To me a due date would imply their own due dates as in that's when they should have finished this particular application.

CBC -- ""Canadian immigration law: too much red tape and no customer service"

That's not a Canadian thing. That's a UK, France, US, Australia, Germany, Sweden, etc thing. Many people aren't overly thrilled about immigration in any country but it's because they mistakenly believe immigrants will: 1) Suck up benefits and never pay in 2) Take jobs 3) Not assimilate or even...

Medical exam results only last a year, I thought, so you may have to re-do anyway right? I don't think he wants people to apply a certain way. I think he's just another government department head trying to make things work with a shrinking budget and fewer employees (when they moved cases from...

I wish we had known this before we applied Inland. I lived in LA for 10 years before I moved up here and we looked at the LA office processing times and though inland would be faster.

Our MP is a Conservative. His office was very helpful in helping us work out my husband's CRA issues. CRA thinks I am a Canadian refusing to declare my work or give my SIN so they have withheld all of my husband's quarterly GST refunds for a few years, even though they have been sent all out...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I realized how broken it was when I found out that they didn't open the extra docs they requested until late July (they said the 27th, that was a Sunday so I'm betting another lie) when they received them in March. It doesn't matter if it's less expensive to apply than in other countries. You...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Last week I had an agent say, "Well yours is May 2013. We are 12 months now and that's just barely over that.". Apparently math is not strong with them. Almost 4 months is more than "barely just over" a year.

If my spouse's MSP is through his employer per a union contract, does he use his human resource person to try to get me on it or do I just apply for MSP through Victoria?

I wasn't sure so I called and asked yesterday. I'm May 2013 and I was told mine was still Vegreville. So if unsure, just call and ask. That's one question they should be able to answer honestly and accurately.

delays in getting ATIP(gcms) case notes - plzz share delays

They have to find a way to break the current cycle. They requested additional docs from us back in March. After telling me "soon" and "call back in 2 weeks", I finally found out they weren't even opened until July 27th. Which makes no sense because that was a Sunday. So I don't know if that's...

delays in getting ATIP(gcms) case notes - plzz share delays

Per the website, it can take longer in some circumstances. :( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/time.asp I would think the more behind they get with PR, sponsorship, and citizenship apps, the more requests they get and then they get a little behind on those too.

That's because you have a responsibility to your family in some cultures. Europeans and especially North Americans of European descent do not feel that responsibility. It's actually lovely. When I lived in LA, I saw Hispanic families that were so tightly knit. Grandparents helped raise...

They probably need the money. BC Children's Hospital, the ONLY children's hospital in BC has been having a fundraiser for YEARS. Why? They need to expand. They need updated equipment. They save the lives of babies and children and the BC Women's side of the hospital saves the loves of pregnant...
