If you already have an Indian license that is atleast one year old then you can self declare 1 year experience and apply for the G2 straight away after passing the G1.. You dont need anything from the RTO/gov If your Indian licence is more than 3 years old then you have 1 chance to apply for...

How do you deal with the wait?

It's not easy for most (if not all) of us... And having depression issues must make it a lot harder for you! I think one of the most importants things is to keep yourself busy... Know that you HAVE to wake up in the morning for a very specific task- be it work or something that you cant con...

If you are applying to sponsor your partner after marriage then it will not affect you as having an income is not a criteria when applying for PR for your spouse

You will have to take classes in Canada but having a local license that is more that 1 year old implies that there is no waiting period to go from a G1 to a G2... Which helps :)

That article is spot on :P I can give all of you one important suggestion- learn to drive!! If you don't already know how to, learn ASAP and get your local license... That way you don't have to spend tons of money learning there. Instead, just a couple of classes to get used to the rules +...

Awesome explanation HS123! +1 for that :D I would also like to add that every one of us here is equally worried and desperate but one must not resort to continuous bombardment with MP enquiries and case specific emails.. These VO's have the sole discretion on what happens with our case... If...

On the contrary the sponsor must be living in Canada when he/she is sponsoring his/her partner... So the option of them working in your home country is not possible... At best what they can do is accumulate leave and take a nice long holiday!

It's good to know that I'm not the only one going crazy trying to find a link between the various cases/year FYI last year the NDVO site stated that the average time it took to process 80% of the cases was 6 months (in contrast to 9/10 months for us) So they have slowed down significantly.. :(

True that.... Regarding the medical, do not bank on the extension... it's rather unlikely... Though it does depend on luck... If your medical is due to expire soon, be prepared to leave soon if you get your PP

Hang in there! & I recommend you stop contacting them continuously.. It will just annoy them and then God knows how they'll react... Did your GCMC notes indicate that EVERYTHING was complete? Also, They do try to make the medical deadline... So be ready to leave if they send you your PP...

Just be patient :) If by 1st May you do not get a DM on eCAS or your PP back send NDVO a case specific enquiry requesting for the document to re-do your medical... That way, there wont be any delay caused as a result of your medical expiring

Try sending them a case specific enquiry regarding the status of your application. If nothing else, you will atleast be reminding the VO that your file exists... PPRs are now being sent out much later by the NDVO... Which I reckon is a good thing.... I think it's ridiculous that they keep our...

Hey! Don't worry! If the VO said that he will approve it then he will! See, even after a mail package reaches NDVO it may take up to two weeks to reach the VO! After that the VO would have to cross check the documents that you sent it. so don't worry okay? Just give it some time and pray hard :)

OMG! So sorry to hear that! Do you have any idea on what grounds did they reject the application? You should hire a lawyer if you plan to fight this decision and go in for an appeal... Good luck
