Another e-mail from Vancouver local office. They said we are scheduling landing appointments for backlog applications. My landing appointment will most likely be scheduled in January/February 2019. This wait is killing me.

I called but they didn't give me any timeframe

your file has been transferred to local visa office. it will be in process again once they will start working on your file. same thing happened to me.

I tried almost everything. There is not much you can do but wait. I Contacted lawyers and they suggested me to have patience. You can go to federal court and make a writ for mandamus. I don't have much knowledge about mandamus but you can google it and find some related information.
