Hi, I applied for workpermit under GSS on 29 jan 2023, got my medical passed on 19 Feb, i dont need biometric because two years back i was woring in canada. Since 19 feb 2023 i havenot heard anything back from IRCC. its frustating

I got my visa approval and passport request today.

I have got a message from Ircc on my applIcatiOn. But due to sOme site maintenance I am.not able to check :( Rakz did u gt any message ?

i mean from where we get updates in our email, does delehi canada embassy send us letter of wprk permit or we get it from canada ? I am asking so that i will not check my account during the day time if embassy of canada in delhi is not associated.

Do we get updates from ircc canada or delhi immigrations ?

He was also concerned fpr my delay and he told me that if Work permit will not Come till this friday i should contact him. Can extension be given in this case ?

My joining was on 5 feb, mcgill montreal and yours ? An expectation that it may come this week

Well iT depends. As In my case It should have been two weeks but till now i didnt recvd. Five weeks gone. :(

Oh i guess it will take upto 6 weeks in your case.

When did you applied and from where you applied. I have applied from india, delhi office.

That is ok. But when will my visa come , my joining was on 5 feb now i thing have to extend it .. This is frustrating

There are two type of background check, one is review of backgrOund and one is extensive background check which is usually done in PR. Well, i am still not sure how long it will take despite my application should go in GSS (2weeks processing time). I forgot to mention that i didnt attached...

what does it mean. Will they not check my background or eligibility ?
