Mexican police certificate - "Informe de datos registrales"

MissRepresentation, I submitted a similar cover letter when we filed our application - that I didn't (and couldn't) send my Mexican police certificate upfront but that I would request the informe as soon as they requested my police certificate. Even Mexicans who live in Mexico are unable to...

    Ex Military Spouse Sponsorship

That is very unfortunate Lexy... I would still try to contact the nearest Afghan embassy regarding the police certificate after you send the visa office the letter - if they say they cannot issue a police record for him because he was residing on a military base, you have lost nothing, and if...

    Ex Military Spouse Sponsorship

Oh sorry, I was not aware that a military base is considered to be the same as an embassy. Then yes, it's a good idea to send the visa office a letter explaining this, but I would also contact the nearest Afghan embassy about this just to be on the safe side. Not having a police record does...

    Ex Military Spouse Sponsorship

Here's the link to instructions I found on the CIC website on how to get a police certificate from Afghanistan. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/mid-east/afghanistan.asp Good luck!

    Ex Military Spouse Sponsorship

I don't think you should cancel your lawyer - she may have messed up on the dates when he was deployed, but on the forms it's still about 8 months right? If your husband was residing in Afghanistan for 6 months or more, he needs a police certificate, and since he stayed there for 8 months that's...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Good news here! I just got an AOR letter along with a request for a Mexican police certificate and an RCMP police certificate from the Mexico City VO via e-mail. The AOR letter further states that the Mexico City VO is taking an average of 6 months to process spousal sponsorship applications...

Mexican police certificate - "Informe de datos registrales"

Ok, I'm posting this as a new topic since I didn't get any responses from posting it under the Mexico outland thread... Here goes. A little background: My wife (Canadian citizen by birth) and I (Mexican) sent an outland application for spousal sponsorship in mid-May and my wife received...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Some visa offices do not contact the applicant to let them know they have received their file (AOR) so she may not hear from the London visa office until they request a document or request her passport.

    Mexico

Hi guys! My wife (Canadian citizen by birth) and I (Mexican) sent an outland application for spousal sponsorship in May and my wife received sponsorship approval on August 1st. I am living with my wife in Canada as I am here on a study permit. Since I am living outside of Mexico, the Mexico...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

My wife finally got SA!!!! Our lawyer sent CIC an e-mail inquiring about the delay in our application on Wednesday and this morning she sent us the SA letter she received on Friday!! No reason given for the delay either. ydj_dil, I think we are tied on the number of days we had to wait to get SA!

Getting permanent residency after marrying a Canadian

Actually, that's not right. You can apply outland even if you are currently in Canada with your spouse - plenty of people have done so without problems. Applying outland just means that the application is processed in a visa office outside Canada (since you're Irish, that would be London). A lot...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

CIC received our application on May 14th and we still haven't got SA yet either. ydj_dil's application was received on the 7th and just got SA yesterday with no explanation of the reason for the delay. No idea what's going on either.

Re: Listen to this radio interview with a CBSA officer...that gets ugly! It *is* a spoof! The radio show is a news satire program. I have never had a rude encounter like that with a CBSA officer, but I have with a US Immigration officer at an airport once.

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Ah my wife and I are in the same boat, except that my UCI does pull up an "Application received on ..." on ecas. I've been the one freaking out since we have heard nothing at all from our lawyer (who CIC is supposed to contact) and it's been 2 months 1 week and a half since they received our...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

We sent in our application on May 8th, was received by Mississauga on May 14th, but we have heard nothing since then... *sigh* My wife is Canadian and I am the sponsored spouse. Interestingly, I was able to use my UCI number (I'm living with my wife while I am in Canada on a study permit)...
