MARCH 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi AarCee, I'm in Canada and my application went to Ottawa. I haven't received the actual COPR yet, I have sent in a copy of my passport and photos today which is the final request, I sent an prepaid express envelope as per their request, so I'm guessing they are sending me back something...

MARCH 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi there, I'm Australian so visa exempt too, and no stamp needed. It took 4 business days from when I saw DM on the website, until I received an email with next steps. From what I understand, they have asked me to send them a photocopy of my passport and a couple photos and then I get the COPR...

MARCH 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi there, Any Aussies in the March forum here? Got the 'final request' email today and I'm 99% sure Aussies are visa exempt and hence, I have to send a photocopy of my passport and two photos to complete the process but with the recent introduction of the ETA I am unsure if this changes...

Logged online today (as I have been doing every day) and hurrah - Decision Made! :) Should I be receiving something in the mail shortly? Or email? Can any March applicants give me a rough idea on when I should hear what the decision is? Thanks so much!

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi there, just wondering - had you had a canadian visa before or spent some time here? Just wondering as I also got asked for RCMP check. Such little mysteries we try to solve through this whole process!

MARCH 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I sent all my required police checks with my application. It says you don't need to submit a canadian criminal check unless requested. I got a request for it. So, sometimes it's hard to understand why they want certain things.

Outland applicants live within Canada with common law partner/spouse are here!

Hi there, I've been asked to obtain a Canadian criminal record check and fingerprints - Ottawa CIC has requested this info to be sent to them within 30 days, however the RCMP have said it takes 4-6 weeks to process fingerprints. Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Canadian...

MARCH 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Who knows! I was on a working visa here 20 years ago (I was older than 18 years old obviously) but only here for just on 7 months. My application forms said I needed police checks for those countries I lived in over the last 10 years or over 18 yo - whichever was more recent. This meant I didn't...

MARCH 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Received an email from Ottawa this morning: requesting documents. Request to pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee and to obtain a police certificate for Canada - because I've been here for more than 6 months now, presumably. I had sent all the other police checks from other countries I'd...

Just FYI, we never received an AOR, first thing we heard was a Sponsorship Approval in the mail. So, you may skip the AOR :)

8 photos of each family member?

Hi there, I had a similar situation, my children are Canadian. I included photos of them too - just to be on the safe side! Worse case scenario, even if we didn't need to include them, they get to see a couple of photos of cute kids :)

    Spousal sponsorship

Hi there, it took about 5 weeks for us to receive any information from the CIC after we submitted our application. The Sponsorship Approval arrived in the mail at that point. Some folk receive an acknowledgment letter or email. I never received this, just the Sponsor approval. So, I think...
