Hey Maddants, I have an idea, if your MP will not help you, or you are not comfortable asking for an inquiry. why not ask your MP (your wife's rather) to find out your sponsor approval date? At least then you will know your Bring Forward date and have a small goal to keep in mind. Just a thought...

Thanks. Yes I was aware they changed but I unless you fill it out online I guess you won't know you can't choose more than one. If u print out the form can manually select two options? (Maybe not as halfmoon said it states to "choose one") I should have double checked the new forms before answering.

I apologize... I did mine on old forms which allowed you to choose more than one. Nev sounds like she has the right answer EDIT: or you could fill out two forms and include both in?

I did contact my MP right before Christmas and she is doing something for me, only problem is she left for a 6 week vacation 2 days after I called her >:( Don't worry, I am on it!! My husband will be here just you wait an see!! Nobody can stop my faith now! :D

Well it was easy to convince her to use that date seeing as that is the date my husband sees as received when he logs into eCAS ;) If Kingston wants me to use transfer date or sponsorship approval date, then maybe they should use that date on his eCAS ---> think outside the box! ;D

No I am sorry, my husband has never left the island. I am waiting now 1 year and 3 months since applying. There seems to be no valid reason that they are taking so long. No red flags etc. So I sit and wait ahhh.

My MP told me that they are required to go through a "middle-man" representative in Ottawa until you have reached full processing time which at that point the MP can contact Kingston directly. There is a representative for each certain area in Canada ie/ the representative for Manitoba also...

It used to say right in the guide that it can delay your processing times by up to two months if not submitted with application fees. I think they removed that in the new guides. (My guide is 2 years old now)

Congrats Kerlosgirl!! @Halfmoon - Was just thinking that you have been "in process" for awhile. Maybe your VO has requested a med extension and that is what they are waiting on and possibly mailing out pc redo as mail in Jamaica is slower than a slug. I believe that is what your wait may be...

No problem :) I believe that they will ask for it if it is expired. That is my opinion and certainly noone has to take my word on it.

I do not know 100% as it is not listed as a statistic and I don't know all applicants to ask. But, for the applicants in our forum, they have been asked including: CharlieD lostwithoutu Akinna NEIKA to name a few off the top of my head. I could look back and see about others but it will take...
