Since most of the folks for whom nomination is pending are CEC, I believe they got an ITA directly, without nomination!... We would still like to hear from them though!! :)

Are you serious?!... BGC has changed to "Not Applicable". It never went to "In Progress"!!

I don't have a good feeling about this... No additional document, BCG changed to Not Applicable and having strange message that application has reached final stage. I'm wondering what went wrong!!

That will be possible only after citizenship. Which can take another 7-8 years. That's a long wait and lot of things change. I will be in my mid thirties and not sure if I still would want to do that! :)

It is bittersweet indeed... With OINP you are now constrained to Ontario. I would have loved to live in Nunavut for couple of years before my age and life changes start needing warmer places.

That's because there are several background checks conducted. Even Medicals review is considered a part of BGC... So, nothing to worry. From what I have heard from others, BGC status changes so many times that it is frustrating. Enjoy the ride!! :)

Yeah!... As per last year's statistics, India is the top 1 in sending number of immigrants. Great going!!

Did you submit EE profile or application? Canadian experience in last 10 years is considered additional points in skill transferability. However, to be eligible for CEC, you should have had at least 1 year of full time Canadian work ex in past 3 years.

Check your employment documents. Is there any place where it mentions you were on long term leave? In any case, as the gentleman above said, as long as you are on company payroll, there shouldn't be a problem.
