Yes, you need to include your Son's details in the family information form. Also, you need to include the copy of the birth certificate and copy of passport ( if you have one). You don't need to add any explanation letter.

Hello roger1726, If you leave your job on 'closed permit' , Will your employer keep your work permit active? If your spouse Open work permit is valid until your work permit is valid.
