Just found out my application is undergoing additional verification checks ( security checks). Anyone who has applied on November 15th or before are most likely going through the same! I was told there is nothing to do but wait.

That's really crazy!! See this is exactly why canadian immigration is so strange. They probably didn't even look at ur application properly. If you followed the rules the last time u went to Canada there should be no reason to not allow you again especially if you have a visa for Australia. So...

Applied from India (Punjab) online. Last time my application went to Delhi I believe, not sure about this time.

The IRCC website says 25 calendar days. For me it's been 31 days now! Not sure when I will get a response. I applied through a lawyer in Canada this time last time I applied on my own.

I had a refusal as well in August and re-applied on November 15th. A lot of lawyers said to wait as re-applying immediately looks desperate. But I also have seen that people in this thread applied a week after refusal and still got their visa. There is no real way of knowing how Canada...
