I will say the same what Simb has told you... with a live example of mine I am Indian citizen (US greencard holder) me and my sponsor hired a lawyer for our case. and our lawyer told us before we applied for sponsorship that I should not apply for TRV as that will make CIC suspicious about that...

I would personally go myself to MTO once I land... But if I dont get G2 then whats the point of getting G1 ? If I cant drive on highways...how can I give G2 road test straightaway ? now my confusion is how can a person give G2 road test if he is not allowed to drive on highways ? G1 doesnt...
