Please don't lose hope, maybe you are still within the cap. But believe me, I felt the same way you did, just because there is nothing one can do to confirm whether everything is going well or not. The important thing is to learn to be patient and don't get too anxious - I know, it is easier...

CIC does not start processing your file before en-cashing your payment so once your bank draft has been en-cashed, they will work on your file.

Hi Jatta, Yes, my first response from the CIC was the PER, I received it via email. I knew that my credit card had been charged (as I checked my balance every day :) so I was already anxiously awaiting a response. Luckily I got my PER! ;D
