bangkokcanuck, nice, long and a sensible post. Appreciate taking time to write that out and happy landing. I am just pissed at the system, not at people who get their PPRs processed really fast. If the VOs dont see a standard pattern of how boy meets a girl and gets married, then they consider...

The weird thing is if you apply for PR under skilled workers category, the processing time is 14 months, you would probably end up in canada much faster than coming through family class. weird country and weird immigration.

ecas works for me, no problems there. But there is no point checking it. Its been sitting there for 6 months without any change. If my wife can join me only in 2013, i am seriously considering leaving canada and going back to my home country. Whats the point when your family cannot live with you?

    Thread for December 2010 Applicants

Ok i am getting ready for the 20 months long processing (as mentioned for singapore VO) for my wife to be here. So that will be October 2012. May be singapore VO office will change the 20 months to 30 months soon. So i am not expecting my wife to be here anytime before January 2013. So it would...

Not really, this is the first marriage for both my wife and I. It should be a straight forward case. I am a canadian PR (singapore citizen), and my wife is a Singapore PR (indian citizen). But my wife was lucky to get a visitors visa to canada. Could that be it?

My file was transferred to Singapore on Feb 3rd 2011. The ecas status just says "application received on feb 3rd 2011". It is going to be almost 3 months since singapore got the package. My wife is a singapore PR and she lives in singapore. I am a singapore citizen living in canada.
