For sure you won't get visa exceeding the date of expiry of your passport. You'll have to Apply for the visa. Renew your passport in Canada (May take at max upto 2-3 months) and then extend your visa again before Aug'15. You won't be able to renew your passport till 1 year before expiry date...

I have already mailed them thrice. I don't think that is speeding up the process any further. :( And yes, there is often an interview but not any online test (at least not that I am aware of)

Has anyone got their visa processed by applying online for Fall'14. I had applied online on 22nd Feb for my visa (Univ of Waterloo, Fall'14) and have not received any response since then. Even case specific queries failed to elicit any response. Any idea what should be the next course of action?

I know that this depends from consulate to consulate. I know a friend from Hungary who has already got the visa for Sept., but again this might be because they have a longer processing time. In Delhi, since the processing time is less, they might not have started yet. But again, OP has applied...

I don't think you need to get too anxious as I saw couple of applicants who applied around mid March getting notifications today. Just wait for few days more and see. All the best.

Yes, absolutely true! I had applied early just because all the required docs were ready from my part and CIC advises us to apply early. However, in hindsight I think applying later through VFS would have been better as we wouldn't have been left hanging in middle of nowhere.

Yes. I had raised a case specific query on 16th and 22nd March after the expiry of the mandated processing time. Did not receive any reply for those :(

Yes maver12, I had applied online too on 22nd Feb. They asked for the degree certificates 2 days later and I uploaded it immediately. Since then there is no news. I'm for Sept intake though. It seems online applications have no accountability at all!

I think you should wait for a while. I applied on 22nd Feb online, which was too early and have not got any response till now.

If it was online then I suppose you had to upload the degree and transcripts in your CIC account instead of sending them via e-mail. But in any case, you had deadline till Apr 5 and they are supposed to wait till that date before refusing.

Which term had you applied for and did you apply online or through VFS? Also, what all documents did they ask for. Was it only the degree certificate or transcripts too.
