I sent my paper application 1st week of october 2013 and it arrived 2nd week of nov 2013.it said on my reentry that it has been issued oct 31, it took more than a week to reach me.

@alfoxtrot, better check with your airline.some airlines allow you to carry just 1 check-in baggage(23 kg) air canada is among them.

Been checking also if any of our dependants have received their LC2 kit but so far, NADA! Let's pray and hope that it will be soon :)

There is not much help with the tracking number in my case, ottawa received mine sept 30 and i have been tracking my inserted canada post envelope.it just kept saying that my tracking number does not exist, until on oct 9, i checked it said "received." Sure enough, it was on our mailbox.

We are similar on the 1st paragraph but i did not get the 2nd paragraph. Instead, it says that i can apply for study permit.

Did they request you to send some documents?if so, you need to send it to them.

The call center agent told me that if ever you did not provide your dependat's email ad in your application, they will do it by post. No idea on how long they are going to contact our dependants though but i am hoping that it would be soon. :)

Called CIC regarding the next step and the lady told me that it has already been forwarded to CEM. My dependant will just wait for any communication from them and there is no definite time on how long the wait for the kit is. Anyone who know the email ad for CEM? Will try to request for the kit...
