Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Husband's PR card finally arrived in the mail today, September 24th. He officially landed on July 9th, so that's 77 days for those still waiting and wondering how long it'll take.

We landed on July 9th. Still haven't got the PR card! But based on their stated processing times at the minute, I'm expecting it in the mail soon.

Yes, Origin's dates are actually correct. Just a very unusually fast processing time. Or at least fast compared to recently - a couple years ago that might have been the norm.

    Im so so nervous :(

Good advice! Will follow it in future. ;) Also to the OP: There shouldn't be any issues with your application. As others have said, a minor infraction from 20 or 30 years ago will be completely irrelevant to the immigration officer. As a Canadian citizen, your husband has the right to sponsor...

Las Vegas at this time of year! It's gonna be HOT! Have fun :) I could be wrong, but I don't think there should be any issues so long as you're honest with the border staff.

I *think* - and please don't hold me to this, because I don't know for sure - but I think they may mail the COPR's on the same day ECAS changes to Decision Made. I guess we'll find out soon. I was so excited for everyone who got their DM's this week. Coming off of those this is just like a slap...

Seriously not worth having sleepless nights about. Decision Made means approval and your COPR is on its way to you. You should be resting easy! Congratulations! In genuinely suspicious cases, they will request more documents to prove your relationship and if still not satisfied they'd request...

That's three more down (four including someone from the other forum)! Congratulations guys. :)

Congratulations! Always nice to see progress on the spreadsheet. Do you know what date you got Decision Made? You sure got your COPR fast regardless - a mere four days after going in process! :)

It's worth a shot to see if you can at least glean more information, though my suspicion is that the background checks are still ongoing for you. It's possible, because you've been In Process for so long, that they've done everything else they need to do with your application and they're just...

I think overall processing times are more relevant, to be honest. Your application's about 223 days in, but we hadn't even gone in process on ECAS by that point, whereas almost everyone around us on the spreadsheet had. (As it turned out, we finally went in process a couple days later and then...

She means the last on the spreadsheet, having applied December 31st.

Oh good grief, how ridiculous. You'd think they knew what they were doing - it's not that complicated a procedure. It definitely should not happen "a lot."

Congratulations to all on the recent "in processes"! It seems to me that some people go in process while the background checks are still ongoing, and that's why it takes so long, while others only go in process after the checks are done. Just my impression.

Oh it was really very easy and nothing to be worried about at all. They didn't even ask a lot of questions. All we had to show them was our passports and the COPR. You get an official rejection from the US border agents, to show that you did in fact leave Canada, then come back and give the...

My husband landed today! It was a pretty painless process. The border guards weren't quite as warm and friendly for us as they are for some people (going by the posts on here), but hey, they didn't give us any grief either. Said congratulations and that was that! :)

Congratulations Sniprat! :) We're going to land tomorrow, leaving really in the morning. Is there anything I should make absolutely sure they do there? I've heard of a couple people who didn't get their passports stamped *and* signed and then couldn't get a SIN. So I know that's something to...

The spreadsheet only represents spousal and common-law PR sponsorship. Skilled workers and such are always a much longer process.
