Great points mentioned above. What I noticed is that if you stay within the downtown area, or to the west side of the island, english is more viable. People at stores generally greet you with "Bonjour, Hi." to see which you respond in. If you respond in english, you'll be addressed in English...

Definitely depends on a lot of factors. Like mentioned before: Your lifestyle, your transportation situation, your language situation, etc.

No, I'm in the states. Born here, lived here pretty much my entire life. I got my dual citizenship from my mom who was a Canadian citizen at the time of my birth. I'm not sure about inland or out, what do you recommend? Any benefit to one over the other?
