    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Okay, so we received a new letter from CIC today. This one states: So, do they just not know that they haven't sent us any correspondence regarding medical, security, or passport requirements, or is this boilerplate?

Hahaha! "Birthday cards are acceptable proof of residency if they include musical cats, not all sounds are considered music, the types of music that qualify are regulated at the Municipal level. See: on.gov.ca/CatMusic/~music_cats/ to determine your musical riding."

Regardless of whatever the drivers license has no bearing on, it's still the only "proof" we've used for every annoying residency checkpoint we've had to get through. Regarding residency for drivers licenses, Ontario requires you get a drivers license if you're in the province for more than 2...

Yeah, the government is retarded. You could probably replace all of their current computer systems with a gameboy. My wife gets no bills mailed to her at all, she only has her credit card bill which is an e-bill. I only get one bill mailed to me, and the reason I do so is so I can renew my...

They didn't accept emails because emails can be fraudulent, they're just making sure you aren't a scammer! Arguing against the divine wisdom of the government... shame shame shame.

What? You appealed to the review board? I'm a little surprised. Yeah our DM was denied. No magic words no OHIP. Review board it is. How long did that take for you? In other news, I tricked a call center agent into seeing if she could figure out why we weren't issued SA or AIP, but only DM. She...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

You actually can't. If they managed to do it, more power to them, but you technically can't apply for OHIP with a DM letter. Source 1: The Ministry of Health Ontario call center Source 2: The Minsitry of Health Ontario MPP Liason I may have solved this ridiculous OWP Type 27 Mystery. This...

So my ECAS finally changed to show "Decision Made" under my wife. Under me it still says "In Process", that's just standard ECAS dumbness though. Strangely if I log in with my Client ID and click "Decision Made" I get "Medical Results Received" as the last line. If I log in with my wife's ID...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

The reason you got OHIP with your OWP type 27 was because you previously got it with LMO. To get OHIP back (had OHIP, then lost it somehow), you basically need nothing other than any kind of status. To get OHIP initially you have to pull a rabbit out of your hat. I believe what you mean by...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Well, I'll be giving that a shot today. I'm not expecting anything. Health Ontario is decidedly moronic about it's guidelines.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Unless it says "meets the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence" it's not reasonable that it's omitted. No magic words no OHIP.

My commentary should live on, in the hearts of all those currently being victimized by CIC's slothful ways. ...plus I still don't have AIP, what is with that? Seriously, it would have to be me who jumps directly to DM without AIP.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Well, I finally have some different-than-normal news. Nothing in ECAS yet, but I got an email saying: So, this is interview request I guess, or possibly DM... So I'm guessing I don't get AIP... which is kind of annoying, I'd really like to get healthcare instead of wait till my interview gets...

If there's no reason for you to be decided against they won't do so just for fun. Thanks for clarifying your dates, so they're definitely working on the end of October. What is even more odd is that you got your AOR just this month.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

It's definitely approved. You're an October 10 applicant, if there were any issues with your application you likely wouldn't be processed so quickly.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

You might be processed tomorrow, or in 10 months. Hard to say. Someone who submitted October 27, 2014 has already gotten DM, and that's only a few weeks before you.

    Ineligible: What government financial help?

A student loan doesn't count as financial assistance, it's just a loan.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Do you know when your note #2 appeared in your ECAS? The one regarding your AOR. Strangely, today (and I know it was today, because I check ECAS twice a day) I suddenly have that second line showing my AOR date, and the line "We began processing your application" was pushed to line 3. Has...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Seriously? Ugh, my spam filter would *definitely* have eaten an email that looked like that. Next they're going to send out OWP's printed on the back of Lawn Care Service fliers. I wonder how many people have missed their CIC correspondence because the subject line was "$$$ EARN BIG MONEY FROM...
