A public letter to minister of Citizen & Immigration Canada

Hopefully my feedback is not offensive as it is not meant to be but 1. Stick to facts not hearsay. Saying you heard that CIC officers made their minds up beforehand is not a good thing to include. You raise the problem of their subjectivity, but you exhibit the same judgements of the officer -...

Shipping property overseas to Canada HELP!!!!!!!!!!

If it's 30kg it shouldn't be too heavy for a plane. Check out different airlines limits and if you can pay excess to go higher. I usually take 32kg per bag on a plane no problem.

We enquired and just got a reply saying the app is awaiting review. No 'near the front of the queue' sadly :(

Too much. But then I didn't include one at all. Just filled out the box on the form.

Sorry what I mean is if the Sponsor is 'landed' and the Applicant's PR App is still not DM'd could this apparent living apart be seen as breaking the 12 month rule. Even though both are still staying in London?

    Money in Bank Account

This also applies to bonds and even a cheque!! I sent a cheque from UK to Canada with FedEx and they go via the US and my cheque for very close to $10k got held up for a week. So much for overnight. I had to look into this as we are buying a house and are moving money from UK to Canada...

Here's the situation - CL for more than 5 years London based. We will both be in Canada 99% of the time from October. We have a trip prior to that in August with both returning back to London after it. We aren't shipping anything but are taking a lot via airline and we want half of it to go in...

Yeah I'd say max $100. It's a colleague, not family or friends. Let him pony it up too! I think I'm quite generous but defo would not part with more than $100 in such a situation. There will always be people who don't pay up or pay less than you so don't worry. Some consideration should be...

Landing Appointment Refused on No Grounds at 200 Catherines St. Ottawa,On

I don't live in a Nanny state but I am sure you have some more pearls of wisdom about my country. At least I understand the importance of career progression and how to behave. I love England as I do Canada. I certainly won't throw my passport away. Prof MacCormick died 4 years ago. ::)

Landing Appointment Refused on No Grounds at 200 Catherines St. Ottawa,On

It's like having a Habs fan teach you the truth about being a Sens fan!! Prof MacCormick is a nationalist. Did he tell you to move to NS? ;) If you have a straight A student in law you would know not to throw around accusations of corruption. I thought people were silly for mentioning Hitler...

    Refundable ticket

It's often known as a fully flexible ticket. Expect it to be quite high (often 3 times the price of the cheapest ticket in the same class) so you may just be better off booking when you have confirmed your travel dates.

Do you need to declare/use the COPR the next time you enter Canada or can you choose to activate it a few visits down the line (before the year medical anniversary)?

Well done Claire_09. You're about a week ahead of me so this gives me huge hope :) Actually I realise your dates are in US format so the above isn't right. Oh we'll, back to waiting.

Sweden - I understand that but they don't even seem to be showing 'In Process'. I know ecas isn't the most reliable but there's a pattern here. I wonder if VO shy away from them thinking they'll take longer for the reasons you mentioned. Ours is straight forward with over 6 years living together...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

We did 18. It is worded in quite an ambiguous way and after researching on here, we decided best to supply more rather than less. Looking at the London spreadsheet there is a very disproportionately large number of Common Law apps in white than red. Any idea why it seems to take longer for...

Thanks. I'll wait a month (if I can) and think of a question to ask. My brother in law has spring a quickie wedding in Toronto this summer so we really want to land on that trip else all these flights start to add up!!! I had better start opening my post more regularly too.

Are people receiving emails to say COPR on its way or is Ecas only way to know?
