You don't need address if you are applying through express entry. Even if you will get request for RCMP, there won't be any address on the letter also. The only option to upload RCMP or any other document is online only. Please correct me if i am wrong?

Hi GSherriff They ask for RCMP if your biometric e.g name or date of birth matches with somebody who had criminal record. It's very rare.

Good search but i was asking for approval for RCMP only for now. How much time does it take? My application is under BG process. ECAS never started? What step should i expect for my application?

Finally received RCMP report yesterday. My upload was showing overdue but i was able to upload it. I hope that it won't create any problem. My status under required document shows "Provided". When can i expect to change it to received?

Well i tried everything. I called them but their phone number doesn't work. Called CIC - they don't know anything about it. I submitted CSE - no reply their too. My document upload shows overdue now but i can still upload. Let's hope for the best

You are talking about me here :( I would suggest it to get it done it in advance but it's very rare that they will ask for it. Don't delay your processing just for 45-50 bucks. If i would have know it in advance. I would have got it done too. Now, where we upload the file it shows overdue...

You don't need to get it done in advance. It's random. I heard somewhere, they request it if your details matches with somebody who had criminal record. e.g if your date of birth.

Why express entry is full of surprises and unpredictable. At least there should steps to follow. For example AOR 1st, then Medical Passed, then BG and then ECAS. So we atleast know where we are and how many hurdles are left. I have seen for some BG never started at all and they got ECAS in...

For those whose ECAS is in process and BG is still in process. How will it work? So there BG check will start after ECAS? For me, my BG check is in process and will my ECAS will process after that? How it works??

Lol. It doesn't mean that. Procedure to get RCMP is you need to get fingerprints first and then they will send your reports to RCMP and then if RCMP finds out that your name has a 50% or more match in their data base then RCMP will take fingerprints again. I couldn't stop myself laughing...
