Nice! I wish mine were that easy to deal with. They have never asked us to sign consent forms and it'll be 3 weeks today she said they would contact me back. Oh my. At least if they were not going to help, they could at least say so. Not having any answers is so annoying. Just being patient is...

**DECEMBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS**

Nothing new here either. Ecas changed to processing application March 28, letter in may to say same thing and not a word since then. While it really is torture waiting and not hearing anything, I am hoping it's a good sign

I wish I could help you. I see nobody replied to you yet. I can't access mycic so I am not sure the different stages etc it tells you on there

I don't think it has changed in the new forms. What country? Maybe there is a specific requirement? We only submitted birth certificate, translation etc for my husband (he has no children). If he did have children we would have been required to submit their birth certificates as well. As for...

I found this very confusing as well when I first started the papers. You only need the documents for your spouse, and if you were also sponsoring children etc.

For sure. I love hearing the good news. We do forget and get caught up in the negative. There must be a group for Dominican applicants?

I spoke to our MP this morning. They were so great. She said give them about 7 days although it will probably be sooner. Said they will get as much info as they can for us and will get to the bottom of why we still can't link our application in mycic. Let's see what happens

I didn't even know there was a line you can call and check! lol that does seem strange. I thought that as of December 2016 applications were 12 months and before that was still the normal time as they start before.

It is so weird I know. I think because this holiday is actually provincial. Like for example today in Newfoundland it's a regular old Monday there, they had their holiday last Wednesday. So all government offices in Canada at some point this week had a day off, it's not a federal stat holiday so...

I believe all Canadian government offices even in different countries observe all Canadian holidays. But this holiday confuses me a little because I don't think it's a stat holiday.

We got the line March 28 they were processing and got a letter for the official aor2 May 21 lol. Hope that doesn't mean the officer is super slowwww. I will post when I talk to the mp. Even just a little info just so we can plan a little. If we are in queue for interview then we pretty much...

We didn't get the correspondence lines on our ecas. Just the other 3. I think you'll be fine. There are many reasons why people do things and you've provided them with an explanation. In any case long distance and different countries is never straight forward lol I am going to see our mp this...

I agree, I mean if you are getting married one way or another you want to be together wherever it is. I wouldn't think there is any benifit to waiting. We got married in July and submitted December only because it took forever to gather everything. Otherwise I would have submitted the day after...
