Well just an update on my MP. So when I called she said give her about 7 days. It's been 2 and a half weeks and nothing. I called Tuesday and yesterday and left a message but no return phone call either.

Nothing new here either. Ecas changed to processing application March 28, letter in may to say same thing and not a word since then. While it really is torture waiting and not hearing anything, I am hoping it's a good sign

I found this very confusing as well when I first started the papers. You only need the documents for your spouse, and if you were also sponsoring children etc.

It is so weird I know. I think because this holiday is actually provincial. Like for example today in Newfoundland it's a regular old Monday there, they had their holiday last Wednesday. So all government offices in Canada at some point this week had a day off, it's not a federal stat holiday so...

I believe all Canadian government offices even in different countries observe all Canadian holidays. But this holiday confuses me a little because I don't think it's a stat holiday.
