Actually I couldn't find anywhere on the CIC website stated that you hafta be in status at the date when you applied. All they say is that you gotta have valid status (and my logic said that by the time your app is being processed, not received). And yeah, I hope it helps anyone out there who...

If I got this right, the wife is the sponsor. To my knowledge, the sponsor doesn't need any medicals to be done, just the applicant. So I would say just submit the Family Information Form after the child is born via CSE.

That's funny, we live in Toronto and we're determined in few years to buy a property OUTSIDE of Toronto, Milton or anywhere but here. Had some friends got a 3 bedroom house in Paris for about $300k. Try check Toronto prices for the same type of house.... it's outrageous!
