I think that at the end of the day, if you've had 4 or 5 agents tell you it's okay..then its okay. Especially when you come on forums looking for advice and the only people saying its not okay are doing so because they are ASSUMING that cic agents DONT know what they're talking about....and...

Now that my partner has OWP and a SIN, what are the chances that if she goes on a vacay to the states, she will not be allowed back in Canada?

My partner took her OWP and her passport to service Canada at the Sinclair center downtown Vancouver and they were able to renew her expired SIN. All that she showed them was her passport and her OWP ..and voila! No fee's involved for this just giving you guys info incase anyone was going to...

She's going to the service canada office today to renew her SIN (or issue a new one? not sure if they renew it or not)... Hopefully it goes smoooooth
