Congratz to you. I can't imagine the feeling of having it all over... you're in the clear now. It's cool that you still come on here. I'll keep up with the forum after we're done... lots of good people on here. The first thing i'm going to do when we get DM is book a 3 week vacation. Japan for...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Yeah i'm not sure.... i'd guess Common-law... since its not as 'stable' as being married...easier to break up. etc. I would be so surprised if they asked me and my partner for more proof. We submit bank statement, both our names on our lease/rent agreement and about 100 pictures of us spanning...

A hand full of people with dates after Sept 18th(my date) has received letters from the CIC requesting them to do medicals or requesting them to provide more proof that they are in / still in? a relationship. So i feel a bit of comfort knowing that they probably opened my file and they think...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Yeah I remember reading these forums ... aip+dms were flyin! the date on the CIC website kept updating every week and things were moving so smoothly...then... all of a sudden... it died. I wonder if case processing agents have quotas..and once they reach their quota in the year, they just...

I'd really like to see the updated excel stats sheet... but she said she wont update it for a week... it will be interesting to see if they are not issuing AIPS alone anymore and just issuing aip+DM at the same time

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Question. with OWP, passport and Sin, can a PR applicant leave Canada (for example to go home for a few weeks for weddings, deaths in the family) etc? For example, my situation, we have AOR but no AIP/DM, what are the chances that she wont be allowed back in the country? is it generally no...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I agree..i think that the OWP being issued under the pilot has NO bearing on this discussion... but im saying that if CIC agents said that its okay to keep working then they would have the same opinion as the person at the landing interview. I agree with you... once someone reports that they...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I think that at the end of the day, if you've had 4 or 5 agents tell you it's okay..then its okay. Especially when you come on forums looking for advice and the only people saying its not okay are doing so because they are ASSUMING that cic agents DONT know what they're talking about....and...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Wow... that is just incredible... gives you the whole 4 month wait thing..then you complain a bit, mention Chris Day and she comes back with "issued and mailed on the 6th" that is just unacceptable

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Yup... but our decision was relative to our situation. We looked at our budget..My salary could cover our expenses.... cell rent spending money food insurance etc...also, my partners manager promised us that she would give her a job as soon as the OWP went through... if i couldn't support us...

Honestly... As i said before... Its true PGWP can not be extended...although.. as confirmed to me by cic officers, implied status does not qualify as 'extending' So many people on here have been told numerous times by different cic officers that pgwp is covered under implied status.... Is...

I'm curious...what does 'OUT OF STATUS' mean anyways?? How can you apply for PR if you are out of status and in canada? can someone give me an example? In my case, my partner was on a PGWP, she applied for PR and OWP, ..in November her PGWP expired, but she got OWP yesterday... so what...
